One of the reasons why DEI has become popular is due to research results from McKinsey & Co which state that organizations that are diverse and inclusive of gender and ethnicity consistently have better performance than companies that do not apply the DEI approach. This is because teams with higher diversity are more creative and use more "slow thinking processes" which can be translated as a more thorough thinking process, so that they can make more strategic decisions and make a team more innovative, which then results in profit increase. 

 

Creating a culture of inclusion within a company cannot be achieved by organic development. A strategic and sustainable approach is needed. The first step in creating a diverse and inclusive work environment is to create, implement,  maintain a work environment that is  inclusive, because  without culture are inclusive within the company, it will be difficult to maintain diversity.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is not a new concept, but companies must take active steps to ensure all parts of the organization have the same understanding of DEI.

 

This is because, according to research reports from McKinsey & Company, companies led by decision makers who have different backgrounds, have higher performance than other companies.

Wellbeing is important, because research shows that workers who are mentally healthy and happy are better able to identify opportunities and possibilities and improve your company's performance.

There are various ways for companies to improve the mental health of your team, such as ensuring that each worker is treated fairly and valued can improve their mental health.

According toForbes magazine, Storytelling is one part of effective leadership and a tool that must be mastered by a leader.  

 

Additionally, toThe ability to speak in public and express ideas is an asset for the company. Therefore, it is important for companies to ensure that leaders can speak in public and have the skills to motivate and transform teams.

Devi is a DEI  advocate from Hong Kong, who is also a Corporate Trainer, Coach, DISC Behavioral Types and Wellbeing_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d Speaker and Facilitator . ​

Devi has more than 20 years of experience in empowering people. Devi, who graduated with a Master of Human Rights Law (Hong Kong University) and a Corporate Social Responsibility Diploma (Hong Kong University), has experience working and leading people from various countries. Currently,  Devi works at a leading agency in Hong Kong promoting Equity, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.


Devi is also a public speaker, who makes her training sessions interesting, engaging and creates a lasting impact.

 

Apart from providing training and coaching, Devi also gives Keynote Speeches on DEI topics.
